I realized the only people up at 5 am on New Years Day are:
People with a baby
People who work in hospitals or gyms
or Avid gym goers / early risers
at 4:45 am Brooklyn was cooing and making noises
I quietly tried to stick her binky back in, then she spit it out and smiled at me kicking her legs. Well, at least she is a happy early riser!
I had a little quiet time and took her and the dog for a morning walk to start of 2013!
My biggest tip for starting off the day right is by MOVING before breakfast.
Find something you like; walking, running, yoga, stretching, ect.
and take at least 10 min to MOVE before you eat breakfast to kick start your system!
New Years Eve events in our household...
It first started off with a healthy homemade meal, stirfry with brown rice.
Then gave Brooklyn a bath. She is finally able to sit up all by herself and explore bath time and she absolutely LOVES it. Kicks, splashes, and smiles.
Then we pulled out the paint and brushes and went to town...or at least started :)
I got one part of Brooklyns wall done and I plan on doing another and then onto my bathroom!
The husband made his bathrooom a little more "manly" with a VT accent
My bathroom plans are to put my favorite scripture Hebrews 12:1 and a decorative accent. The other wall in Brooklyns room I will show once it is done :)
We hand painted these so the process took a while, but well worth it and a fun activity to do at home! (felt a little artistic for what thats worth)
After the painting was done it was bedtime for some family members...
We made some snacks and relaxed on the couch with a movie....BUT me and movies past 10 pm don't go well. I fell fast asleep on the couch and woke up at 11:50 just in time to see the ball drop.
Then went straight back to bed :)
It was a fun, creative, & relaxed way to spend New Years Eve with a baby.
Happy New Years
How are you planning to start the New Year off today?
I am headed to the gym mid morning to get in a good sweat then back to painting!!!
