10 another workout and help

We ran out of coffee and I decided to try a new flavor...Mocha.
VERDICT: Amazing (as I am drinking it right now)
I always start my day off with a cup of coffee (ok maybe 2) quiet time, and some type of a workout or movement! Whether it be a simple walk, bodyflow, or an interval workout, I always plan to MOVE before I eat breakfast.
This morning I have planned an awesome HIT interval workout that you can do outside or in a gym.
HIT Workout
800 meter run/sprint (1/2 mile)
25 air squats
20 burpees
15 pushups
10 sit ups (full sit ups)
for 3 rounds
*all this requires is your body* no excuses*

Rest Later!

Lace up those shoes and get moving!

On a side note I need help with something!
I have a problem with keeping my hair up and in place.
I find that EVERY single hair tie I buy stretches out and my hair ends up falling out when I am running. It is one of the most frustrating things because I end up running with a wobbly bun and am trying to redo my hair in the midst of pushing the stroller and running (not a pretty sight).
This is where I need HELP!
What hair ties have you found to actually stay TRUE to size and stay put in your hair?
Post Workout - Case in point
(FYI the workout kicked my BUTT. Def doing it again!)

I literally have piles of stretched out hair ties and need to throw them away, but won't until I have found ones that actually work and stay in!
Let me know if you have found ones that work PLEASE!!!
My hair is on the verge of falling out here...
I LOVE Bondi Bands as a headband but need to find a hair tie that I love too!

I found on Ashleys blog she did a Q&A and I absolutely loved the idea.
If anyone has any questions I would love to answer...
Pregnancy, birth, motherhood, fitness, nutrition, life, you name it!
Just email me or comment and I will write a post in the near future!

Have a good thursday and PLEASE help me find a good hair tie!

  1. Ooh I love that workout-- I'm going to save that one for future reference! ;-) I wish I could help with the hair tie dilemma-- I have the same problem! I use Chickbands for headbands which work great, but somehow my hair always slips out of my hair tie and I end up looking like (even more than usual) a hot mess!

  2. What a great workout! I also have that same problem with hairties. They should make them more durable! And headbands usually slide right off... maybe I should just invest in some better quality ones. Sigh.

  3. I wish I could offer some hair band suggestions, but I have the exact same problem! So frustrating! Maybe this is a business venture we should explore?!

I'm loving the HIIT workout--looks like a doozy, but in a very good way. :)

  4. Great workout! I'm with you, I have yet to find a good hair tie that doesn't stretch out after two wears! I hate adjusting my hair mid-workout, but I can't stand the feeling of it falling out or getting in my face. Let us know when you find something that actually works!

  6. There's a type of hair tie that's sort of rubbery, you can get them at Target. They're sort of clearish and they do NOT mess around - they're hard to get back OUT of your hair. I wear them for triathlons and they never move!
I realize that description sucked but I found them on amazon!
